I've decided that there is no point in rushing thing!! I started this bag (and actually had done it all except for the lining!) back in January when I spent a few days at Chookyblue's place. It took me all of about an hour to complete. No point in rushing!! ;)
That brings me to my question - why do I (we) leave these things until the last minute and when we know that things might only take an hour to complete? Seems quite silly really!!
This version of TTS has been like a thorn in my side. I machine quilted the whole thing and then decided it looked terrible. I have spent MANY hours on the couch unpicking it!! Finally last night saw the end of the unpicking!!! YAY!!! Now I have to re-iron it and re-baste it and start hand quilting. I should have just hand quilted it in the first place!!!!Hope you're all doing well!! For those QLD'ers that have kids back at school this week - enjoy the peace and quiet!! We still have one more week off here. We are all very tired and are enjoying the time 'off'!
Rightio - off to find something in my wips basket that might only need an hour to complete!!

I think it is the lure of a 'new project" that stops us finishing - and once its thats close to finished, the challenge is over ..
TTS is looking great ... happy handquilting :-).. Honestly, don't know where the holidays have gone ??? Back in routines tomorrow :-(
Happy stitching, P
Your bag looks great Maree...and enjoy hand quilting TTS...it looks fantastic....
Great bag Maree! Shame about the reverse sewing.
Great bag...I am a great procrastinator when it comes to finishing, so well done! Love the TTS...you are good to reverse sew it all, but now you will be happy with it!
Hearing you loud and clear - and when you do put that last hour in and then think what stopped me from finishing it way back then? We are silly alright! Love your TTS, the handquilting should be a little more relaxing than the un-sewing was. Enjoy your last week of holidays with the kids, we're looking forward to ours starting on Friday!
Your bag is looking great - I agree, always have good intentions but then get lost along the way. End result is worth it though - same with your TTS quilt. Enjoy the hand quilting XX
lovely bag.....hope you have found some more 1hr finishes.........the TTS looks great goodluck with the quilting.........
Love your bag. Sorry that your machine quilting did not work out. Hope you hand quilting work out for you.
Each block is a finish on it's own. You have just gone past Christmas 2011 and are heading for 2012. It is a really beautiful project and your blocks look great.
